Superb Mirror on DDbait!

From French carp angler Raphael Martos, we just received this interesting report. "Together with my fishing mate Fanou, we spent a one week session on a southern France lake. Our goal: catching a big fish. The weather conditions where not on our side, strong winds, heavy rain and dropping temperatures. After 5 days with no result at all, I finally got a take and landed after a trouble free fight this incredible 26,3kg mirror carp. I was so happy. The carp couldn't resist to spicy homerolled 20mm boilies made of DDBait's great DNA products! For sure 2008 is a year worth to remember for me. Many thanks to Prologic & DDbaits!"

"Une semaine de pêche avec mon pote FANOU (vice président du groupement régional carpe du Languedoc Roussillon), objectif capturer du gros poisson. Mais voilà la météo est très changeante, soleil, pluie, vent très fort et chute de température, les carpes ne s'alimentent pas ou peu.
Apres cinq jours de pêche sans résultat, enfin une touche, une carpe de 26.3KG quel bonheur. Malgré le froid ce poisson n'a pas résisté aux bouillettes fraîchement roulées (base fortement épicée, produit PROLOGIC évidement ). Un remerciement à FANOU pour ses billes et son spot. Une certitude, 2008 pour moi une année PROLOGIQUEMENT bonne."

25,2kg River Carp on DDbait!

From Italian Prologic Boss, Enrico Parmeggiani, we received a BIG fish report! “This amazing 25,2kg mirror carp was caught ten days ago in Po river by Davide Reggianini. He prebaited the swim 3 times during the week with 20mm DDbait LT Fish & Cherry in a deep and rocky area with slow moving current. Friday in the evening he went to the place and started fishing. After less than one our the first indicator started to scream and he had 8 run the first night with 2 nice common on top of 16,5 and 18kg. As the sun start to rise the fishing stopped, till 10:00AM when Davide had a strange run on the left rod, after a few seconds he understood that something very big was at the end of the line and 20 minutes later this incredible 25,2kg mirror was on the unhooking mat. He used on all rods DDbait LT Fish&Cherry single hookbait in 20mm. By Sunday morning Davide caugth another 12 carp all between 8 and 15kg on the same bait! DDbait rocks at the Po”

Le boss de Prologic Italie nous a envoyé ce récit : "Cette superbe miroir de 25,2kg a été prise sur le Po il y a 10 jours par Davide Reggianini. I avait préamorcé son poste pebndant 3 fois en une semaine avec des LT Fish & Cherry 20mm dans une zone profonde et rocheuse abritée du courant principal. La première nuit a rapporté 8 runs avec 2 belles communes de 16,5 et 18kg. Le matin vers 10h, il a eu une touche bizarre et après 20mn, cette 25,2kg était sur le tapis. Durant la journée, il a ensuite capturé 12 poissons entre 8 et 15kg, tous sur le même appât, des singles LT Fish & Cherry 20mm"

New Croatian Record carp on DDbait!

Croatian Prologic team members, Danijel Gaspar & Mario Bacic, have just landed a new Croatian National Common Carp record, during the 5’th Memorial "Marijan Cernos" international Carp fishing competition. It is apparently the worlds biggest carp carp ever caught during a tournament. Danijel Gasper & Mario Bacic, came in second place for the overall title, in competition with 33 teams from Croatia, Austria and Germany.
At 04:00 o’ clock Danijel’s rod went off and after a long battle he could land a huge common of 29,27kg! Danijel used DDbait Crustacean 14mm boilies, made with Crustacean Flavour and DD’s Salmon Oil for hook bait – fished over a large area of scattered freebies! The rig was a C1 hook tied to Reptilian skin braid fished on Prologic’s running rig system.
It seems the magical 30kg barrier will soon be broken in Croatia!

Christopher Paschmanns makes it BIG!!

"With carpfishing becoming a passion, a lifestyle, the feeling for water and its big inhabitants grows and grows. People talk about watercraft – whatever that really is. But we all know it, we all felt it: Just imagine a rainy, windy, mild October day. You are sitting in front of the window looking outside, when this inner voice occurs, telling you: “Go out there and cast a rod, it’s about time, you will catch’em”! Have you ever heard that inner voice and wasn’t it right? My voice doesn’t much talk to me right now, as I am totally focussed on my final exams. But I have friends and I am happy that I heard on my good friend Meiks intuition: It was him who sent me a sms last Fridays morning saying that he dreamed of me catching the Big Common I so much wanted. He saw me screaming at the top of my lungs with that fish in my arms. I called him a second after reading and that’s what he said: “Chris you know about such situations, its intuition! You have to try it, you will catch her!” I closed my books, packed my gear and drove the 240 kilometres (just one way) to fish the water where my dreamfish swims for just two nights. The surface was calm, nearly deadly calm. First just the leaf was falling down the trees, later the rain was pouring down and with it the wind came. Two runs in the first night and the 240 kilometres paid of already: a 18.5kg mirror and a 20kg mirror! Late after midnight in the second night and another 20kg mirror came in the net. I was already speechless… But in the cold morning dawn after a night with heavy rain, my dream-fish sucked in a single bottom bait and gave me such a strong fight. When she came to the net I couldn’t believe that I finally got the one immaculate, stunning Big Common: at 112 centimetres and 24 Kilo, this Big Girl is really a special fish! Catching her was my last target 2008.

Monster Mirror!!

At the moment French Prologic Team mate Nicolas Quéraud, is spending one week on a central French lake, that he is fishing for the first time. After a difficult beggining and two blank days and dropping temperatures, the massive prebaiting with 20 and 24mm Crustacean readymades - started to work. First run was the right one !!! After a short but hectic fight, he slid the net under a huge 27,4kg mirror carp (biggest fish of the lake). As almost always with Nicolas, hookbait was a 20mm Crustacean/Crustacean snowman, tied to 0.59mm Spectrum FC and C3 size 2 hook. Nicolas is still at it, so stay tuned and expect to hear more from Nicolas soon !!!

Crustacean & Banana Rules Cassien!

My good friend Christian Münz just returned from his recent Cassien-Trip. This time he tried a more mobile approach and fished on several different swims in the south-, west- and northarm. He trusted - as always - homerolled Crustacean boilies with Banana flavour and Tigernuts. Chris took fish from nearly every swim he fished. Though the fishing pressure was extremely high and frequent catching was rare, he had a constant stream of action and landed several 15kg+ carp up to 19,5kg - a fish of 1,05m!

Short session Success!

From German Prologic & DDbait consultant, Bastian Reetz, we received a great report "Prebaiting ist now part of my daily work as I´m living direct on a big ship canal with very nomadic carp. To get really good results there must be baits waiting in the water when one of the very few monsters are crossing the bank right in front of my house. So every day the same: Some maize, tigernuts, DDbait elips pellets and Pineapple-Crustacean Boilies in the bag in one hand and my dog on the other side. Just 10 minutes and I´m back home. Sometimes twice a day. Easy game. No boat, no distance fishing, just my way of fishing. I took a few reduced short sessions to get my beloved 2,5Ib Prologiv Classic Carp in a nice bend. I fish maximum two nights per week to avoid much fishing pressure on the spot even if the fish are going crazy on the bait.
And now the prebaiting pays of. A lot of good fish found their way onto my unhooking mat including an old known whacker with 20,5kg. Pure power caught almost out of my window...
A 20mm Pineapple-Crustacean on a simple mono hooklink made of 30Ib XLNT Camoline “not a knotted” on a C4 size 6 did the trick. And now I´ll be out again, bringing more of the "fruits" home that a totally fixed on the DD Bait readymades.... Cheers Bastian”

DDbait rules the continent!

“A dream comes true? I often dreamed of catching a big river carp. I grew up close to a small stream where I caught thousands of pearch, small barbel and chub and also a few small carp years ago. Already at that time, the streaming flow was just magical. You never know what comes next… Last weekend a good friend invited me to celebrate his birthday on the fields of the river Weser. That meant a good chat with good friends and two nights fishing in a very mystical big river. The river-stretch we fished is known to hold just very few fish, but some quite big ones. I arrived on Saturday evening and cast my rods in the nowhere, as it was already dark. Next morning – I had nothing in the night – I took my Jig’n Spin rod and did at least a hundred casts in the river section I was fishing with my two rods. With a big soft lure and jighead I felt, where the deeper spots were located and where the bottom was sandy. By the way I caught a few pearch and lost a small pike. These spots I later in the evening recast my rods on. Rigs were made of 0,50mm Mono with C3 hooks in Size 4 and two 24mm BioRed Readymades on each rod – because of the barbel and chub. On each spot I baited 2-4kg of 24mm BioReds. It only took half an hour and I had a screaming take on the left hand rod, upstream. A few minutes later a heavy, brought shouldered common was lying on the mat. An ugly monster at 22 Kilo! Everybody around me was just shaking heads – 30minutes fishing and a river giant on the mat?!? Not real. And it became even better: The night I had a 60cm Barbel on the same rod and at 6.00 in the morning the right hand rod bursted into life – a mirror that just missed the magical 20 Kilo mark by millimetres on the scale. Old Freinds!

From our German consultant, Bastian Reetz, we received a good report "When you are fishing huge lakes with lots of nomadic carp you do not expect to catch the same fish. But sometimes this will happen. Some carp are very static, living almost their whole lives in a very limited area.
So it was on my last trip with my fishingmate and best friend Christoph. We caught just the local fish – all known for us from the years before. The water temperature was very high with 24 degrees Celsius and the big moving schools of the nomadic carp were somewhere out in the deeper water kilometres out of our range. But we could catch our known “housecarp”. Very nice thirties up to 19kg, that loves the homerolled Pineapple & Crustacean boilies in 24mm dried and soaked in sugar to be rockhard. C2 hooks in size 4 tied with a silicone line aligner on a combi rig gave the perfect hook hold you need in a very weedy water."
